Biography
Dr. Kwan graduated in 1979 with a Doctoral Degree in Chiropractic from the National College
of Chiropractic (now National University of Health Sciences) in Lombard, Illinois. His graduate schooling
was done at the University of Hawaii's School of Public Health where he earned a Master's Degree in Public Health
in 1976. As an undergraduate, he earned a B.S. degree in Biology and a B.A. degree in Chemistry from the University
of Hawaii. His acupuncture training came first hand from his grandfather, an M.D. in China. After an internship in
Illinois, Dr. Kwan came to the Piedmont area in 1980 and has been practicing here ever since.
He is a member of both the North Carolina Chiropractic Association and the American Chiropractic Association. Dr. Kwan serves as a diplomate of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and is currently the President of the NCCA Acupuncture Council.
